IPTV Box Qviart and VPN connections.

 You can easily and quickly set up a VPN on a OG 4K IPTV box, the IPTV box supports the OpenVPN protocol. It makes it easy to set up a VPN connection. The vast majority of VPN providers offer a configuration file with the VPN information, e.g. NordVPN and OpenVPN. The latter offers a free solution.

Preparing a VPN on your IPTV Box.

Start by downloading a configuration file from your VPN provider. The file must be in .ovpn format. Save the file to a USB device.

As an example, here is how to download the configuration file from NordVPN.

Download one of the above VPN configurations. Qviart OG series of IPTV boxes handle both UDP and TCP. UDP is the fastest and is often used for streaming purposes.

After downloading the .ovpn configuration file and saving it to the USB device, the USB device must be mounted in the Qviart IPTV box. Qviart OG will auto-detect that the USB device is mounted.

 VPN setup

Launch your Qviart IPTV box and select "Settings" in the main menu

In the settings menu, select menu item "Network Settings":

Then select "Open VPN":

Then enter the username and password. The dialog box is opened by pressing "OK" on the remote control. Remember to save by pressing the blue button on the remote control. Username and password is the username and password provided by your VPN provider.

The configuration file from the VPN provider must now be installed in the IPTV box. Press the "Import config file" menu item and select the USB device on which the configuration file was saved. In the example below, we have only one USB device connected:

Now select the desired configuration file from the VPN provider:

The Qviart OG 4K IPTV box can then be set up to start the VPN connection automatically. The "Auto start" item is set to "ON":

The IPTV box can also be set up to ensure that there is a VPN connection before starting applications. This is done by setting the item "Auto start internet application wait VPN" to ON:

Once the above is completed you are ready to establish a VPN connection. Click the red button on the remote control. Keep an eye on the "Status" field. After a few seconds, the field should type "Connected". Your VPN setup is now complete and you can use the web safely and securely.
